Every employer company hiring the foreigners in Poland is obliged to retain in their employee documents a copy of the foreigner's legal residence document, i.e. a copy of the visa, residence permit or entry stamp confirming the date of entry in case of the visa-free stay. One should also remember to verify the type of the legal stay. The mere fact of obtaining a work permit in some cases does not entitle to employ a foreigner until they have obtained the desired type of the residence document.
