Foreigners wishing to obtain a positive decision on the subject of a permit for residence and work in a highly qualified profession (the so-called EU Blue Card) must meet the minimum wage requirement, which can not be lower than 150% of the average remuneration in the national economy announced annually by the President of the Central Statistical Office. According to the latest announcement of the CSO President from February 11, 2019, the average wage in the national economy in 2018 amounted to PLN 4,585.03, which translates into a minimum amount of PLN 6777.55 required in the procedure of applying for the EU Blue Card.
